SESA has a number of local working groups and members who connect into the INCOSE working groups at an international level including the following.
Working groups create the resources practitioners need. Discuss, collaborate, share in person and online across local and international working groups with a wide diversity of interests. By partipating in working groups you will:
- Bring value to other INCOSE stakeholders in your interest area
- Build expertise and contacts
- Help develop and review international standards
- Share information across Working Groups
- Create products to advance the state, art and practice of systems engineering.
For more information or to join or establish a working group please contact sesa@engineersaustralia.com.au

SESA Healthcare Working Group
The Healthcare Working Group has been formed to determine how Systems Engineering and Systems Thinking principles can be applied to improve healthcare outcomes in Australia.
Systems Engineering principles are well established in the field of medical devices but there are emerging fields such as Digital Health and AI in healthcare, as well as broader health system issues highlighted by the pandemic, where a systems approach will be beneficial. The Working Group aims use to the experience of SESA members to contribute to improving healthcare on specific projects.
INCOSE Telecommunications Working Group
This working group was founded by Australian members who have connected with international INCOSE members and systems engineers in the telecommunications industry.
The Telecommunications working group aims to enable telecommunications systems stakeholders and providers to better support their users and to be a forum for telecommunications practitioners to discuss problems and challenges, for systems engineers who are interested in telecommunications applications, to advance the application of systems engineering for telecommunications, and lead the INCOSE liaison with external telecommunications experts, standardization bodies, organizations and communities.

INCOSE Human Systems Integration (HSI) Working Group
This working group was founded in the UK, however local SESA members are connected in to this INCOSE working group.
The HSI working group aims to facilitate embedding HSI within Systems Engineering, promoting the benefit of placing the proper focus on the role of people in the development and operation of systems. Our vision is to see HSI embedded in Systems Engineering practices, leading to the efficient delivery of effective systems.
