System testing strategies in complex engineering environments: ensuring quality, safety and performance, 03 September 2025
Wednesday, September 3 from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

4.30 pm — 5:30 pm AWST, 03 September 2025
Overview
Enhancing reliability and performance through rigorous testing in complex engineering systems.
System testing is essential for validating the functionality, safety, and performance of complex engineering systems before deployment. This presentation will explore the full lifecycle of system testing—from planning and execution to verification and validation—across diverse domains such as industrial automation, Railway systems software integration. Attendees will gain practical insights into international standards, structured testing hierarchies, and both black-box and white-box methodologies. The session will also cover cybersecurity, performance testing, and acceptance criteria, equipping participants with the tools and frameworks needed to deliver robust, compliant, and high-performing systems.
Learning outcomes
In this presentation, you will learn:
- how a system test methodology is chosen for different applications
- know how to apply testing techniques
- recognize International standards governing system testing
- sample tests and case study of system tests in modern railway systems.
