Application of Artificial Intelligence in Systems Engineering
Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
About the event
With the rise of emerging new technology, introduced complexity and risks have become increasingly difficult to manage for product developers and engineers alike. Many technologies and systems are still currently being developed on traditional engineering methods and outdated tools, leading to defects in the early requirements analysis and design development phases. Learn from our speakers on how modern approaches in AI can be leveraged to mitigate these risks and improve on the Systems Engineering process in relation to requirements engineering and analysis.
In this SESA National Speakers event, learn from two highly recognised industry experts known for their contribution in development of Systems Engineering in Rail and Defence industries, discussing the possibilities of applying Artificial Intelligence in the Systems Engineering lifecycle.
Join Steven Spencer and Nicolas Teulier, as they explore theoretical aspects and impacts of AI in Systems Engineering, the use case for AI in SE and examples of tool application.
This event is fully online and broadcasted nationally as part of our National Speakers Program of events.
About the speakers
Steven Spencer
Engineering Environment Manager, Thales Australia
Steven Spencer CPEng NER RPEQ. Steven is a chartered engineer with 15 years experience in the Healthcare, ITS, Rail and Defence industries working in roles across software engineering, systems engineering, management and coaching. Having recently returned from a secondment in Paris, in his current role he provides leadership in the ISO 9001 process, best practices, and the deployment and operations of tools used within Engineering.
Nicolas Teulier
Systems Engineering Manager, Acmena Group
Nicolas has over 15 years’ experience in requirements management and engineering process improvement in Australia and France.
He has worked as a requirements manager in fast-paced (mobile phone) and highly regulated (aerospace, transport, defence) industries, using his skills to define requirements management processes and implement systems engineering frameworks. Nicolas enjoys developing innovative solutions for managing complex projects from a systems engineering perspective – specifically tool customization for more efficient usage. He is expanding his area of expertise to global engineering lifecycle management tools, integrating various systems engineering processes and encouraging collaboration between engineers.
