Additive Manufacturing in Defence: Enabling Resilience and Adaptability
Tuesday, November 18 from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Join us online or in person at EA headquarters in Canberra to discover how AM strengthens supply chain resilience, enables on-demand part production, and supports rapid sustainment in contested or resource-constrained environments. Through real-world applications, you will see how AM empowers forward repair, battlefield adaptability, and reduces reliance on vulnerable supply chains.
A live demonstration will showcase the AM workflow. From preparing a model in slicing software to printing an “impossible geometry” part achievable only with AM. While the print progresses, discussion will open on key challenges including certification, deployment, and the logistical trade-offs of adopting AM. Participants will also gain insight into AM’s role within systems engineering—shaping policy, guiding capability development, and enabling mission adaptability.
Registration is required for attendance.
